What are your opening hours?
Our Queanbeyan office is open from 8.am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday. Mitchell showroom opens 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 1.00pm Saturday. back to top

Can you give us a ball park figure on replacing our windows and doors?
We can give you approximate prices for your windows, just give us the sizes height by width or we can give you the name of an installer who will contact you and arrange a measure and quote. back to top
Can you quote on all our windows separately in case we don’t want to do them all at once?
We can but it will cost more because it would go from being one job to maybe 8 individual jobs and everything takes longer and costs more, e.g. delivery, efficiency, material costs. back to top

We can make special sizes and shapes , all we need is the aluminium size and height by width of the product you would like. back to top
Which is dearer, Timber or Aluminium?
Timber windows and doors are approximately 50% dearer than aluminium. back to top

There are several Builders who have display homes with our windows and doors featured in their projects. We also have an Online Showroom on our web site. What is the best option for sound reduction?
The most effective window you can install is a Sound Out or secondary window. This window is fitted behind your existing window, which creates an insulated gap between the two windows. If you are after new windows, awning windows with laminated glass is the most effective and economical option. back to top

What are your standard colours?
Standard powder coat colours are Pearl White, Primrose, Matt Stone Beige, Custom Black, APO Grey, Anotec Natural Pearl, Woodland Grey, and White Birch. A colour chart on the Aluminium page will provide a general indication. There are many additional powder coat colours to choose from, visit one of our showrooms to view the full range. back to top

Glass Types and Glazing
Which glass do you recommend?
This will depend upon your priorities. Double glazing will insulate your home, double glazing with Low E will assist with insulation and retaining winter warmth, Tinting will reduce glare/heat , laminated glass as single glazed or in conjunction with double glazing will reduce noise from outside. If your concern may be reducing the UV effect/fading on your drapes or timber floor, then a laminated glass would help. If you only want to change the appearance of your house, have windows and doors that open & close smoothly and keep the cost down we suggest that you use the standard glazing. What is double glazing?

Yes all windows except our Standard (514) Double Hung and the Clearvent sashless double hung windows. Some cedar windows may be restricted by size. Please ask our consultants for specific advice. back to top
