Glass Types and Glazing

Which glass do you recommend?

This will depend upon your priorities. Double glazing will insulate your home, double glazing with Low E will assist with insulation and retaining winter warmth, Tinting will reduce glare/heat , laminated glass as single glazed or in conjunction with double glazing will reduce noise from outside. If your concern may be reducing the UV effect/fading on your drapes or timber floor, then a laminated glass would help. If you only want to change the appearance of your house, have windows and doors that open & close smoothly and keep the cost down we suggest that you use the standard glazing. Our Glazing page will provide more information.  back to top
