All of our windows and doors will take a variety of glass
types and glass sizes in single glaze, standard float, toughened or laminated glass.
- Tinted glass can be used to reduce glare and heat in summer, and add privacy during daylight hours.
- Obscure glass is available in many patterns and colours and is commonly used for privacy situations.
- Toughened glass is available in many thicknesses and tints and is used primarily for safety situations such as doors, bathroom windows and large windows and doors.
- Laminated glass is used for safety, blocking UV rays and reducing noise.
There are many different thickness and styles of glass available please consult our staff for additional information.
Double Glazing
Double Glazing is the process of using two panes of glass to create a pocket of air. The pocket of air acts as an insulator, trapping warmth inside your home.
- The use of energy-efficient insulated glass units can reduce the heat transfer through the window or door by over 50%
- The performance of a double glazed window can be significantly improved by using high performing glasses such as Low E products, tints or even the inclusion of argon gas in place of the air
- An insulated glass unit using the right tinted glass can also reduce the heat gain by approximately 50%.
Our staff can advise you on the most suitable combination to suit the individual needs of your project.
